Treating Work-Out Pain

Are you familiar with the saying, “no pain, no gain?” My personal trainer lives by that philosophy. We have a complicated love-hate relationship. On second thought, it’s not that complicated: he loves to make me hate him for difficult work-outs.

Obviously, I don’t really hate him because I’m getting into the best shape of my life. Unfortunately, my older body doesn’t bounce back as fast as it used to. After every work-out I apply Icy Hot extra strength pain relief gel. It helps soothe my aching muscles so I can continue to get my butt whipped into shape.

Simple Steps for Motion Sickness Relief

Motion sickness can bring about a series of unpleasant symptoms including cold sweats, dizziness and vomiting. While riding in a car or sailing on a boat may not seem like a big deal for some people, for others the mere idea of riding in the back seat is nauseating. If you’re suffering from motion sickness, you can take certain supplements and medications to help. But if you want to nip the problem in the bud, here are some easy steps you can take for motion sickness relief:

~Focus on a distant, stationary object and refrain from tasks like reading or playing handheld videogames.

~Don’t overeat before riding in any type of vehicle; avoid spicy and greasy foods in particular.

~If your stomach becomes unsettled, eat some plain dry crackers to calm it down.

Apply for an Active Life

I'm older than I would ever want to admit, but you certainly wouldn't know it. Don't get me wrong, I don't go in for bad hair dye or anything cheesy like that. Instead, I exercise regularly and take good care of my body. I play in a recreational basketball league once a week, and on the weekends I referee high school games. To be honest, by the end of the week I'm usually feeling the effects of a grueling physical schedule.

I typically apply some joint pain relief cream to the site of the inflammation. That way, I'll be ready to get right back into the grind. The process takes less than a minute, and I put a tub of cream in my locker at the gym and another in my bathroom at home. It keeps the pain away, and I haven't lost a step in years.
